Life has been pretty hectic since we moved in the new house back at the end of March. We LOVE LOVE LOVE it here, it is so quiet, especially at night!

We still have some issues with the house we are trying to fix as we go. Still gotta replace the carpet on the stairs, but found out remnants are only like $30 or so...no problem there, just gotta wait on J's dad to be able to come install it for us. We are more than likely going to have to replace part of the sheet rock downstairs to get rid of the last of the "pee" smell...there again not too expensive, but have to wait for dad to have time to help us. We have decided to tile the downstairs floors...best thing for all around...another gotta wait on dad thing...lol Our garage is slowly getting cleaned out from boxes and such. One fun thing we have discovered is a problem here are scorpions!!! I have found I think 4 total since we moved in...it is a neighborhood wide problem apparently though, according to our community forum website. At least with cats...they catch them if they see them.
Our 3 cats seem to love it here...or at least they did until we adopted a puppy...lol We got our pup from a pet rescue, thinking we were doing something good, right? Well...our poor little baby was sick when we got her. We thought she was just tired from being cooped up in a pin all day at petsmart. We got her on a Saturday, by late Sunday night we had to take her to the ER vet for having explosive diareha that smelled horrible...first thought we had was parvo!!!! Thank god that wasn't it, but she did have an infection. At the ER vet, the gave her an antibiotic shot and some IV fluids and found out her white blood cell count was 40,000(its supposed to be 17,000). On tuesday, the regular vet did x-rays and the pup had pneumonia!!! The rescue said...she had an upper respiratory infection, but should be over it in a few days...um yeah right. Of course we called the rescue and they are like we can trade her for another pup that is healthy, AFTER we spent $250 for the ER vet....and no they won't help with the bill there. They paid the $35 vet office fee...that was it!!! So, now almost $700 total later, we have one expensive rescue dog that is finally a MONTH later getting over the pneumonia!!! I suggest that if you adopt from a pet rescue and they have papers that say they are not responsible for any illness the dog or cat may be "incubating" at time of adoption....run as FAST AS YOU CAN!!!! We love the pup, but sheeeeeese...you cannot tell me she didn't have the pneumonia the day they adopted her out and that they couldn't tell she was that sick...the poor thing could barely stand up! Now she loves to play, sleep and chase the poor cats around the house...lol
anyways, enough venting for now...lol What's up with my DA peeps? Haven't heard from anybody in a while!

As long as we have his music, Michael Jackson will never truly die. Either that, or he'll come back as a zombie.
